Inaugural Events

Less than a week ago, Barrack Obama was sworn in as the first African American president. This inauguration was a tremendous occasion that attracted millions of citizens and celebrities to the capital to witness history in the making. However as eventful as this day was, it did not help our already bad economy in any way. All the festivities cost millions upon millions of dollars that we really don't have. I think that from what I've seen and heard, which is not much, that Barrack Obama is a nice person and the entire first family are nice people. However, I do not agree with his position on pressing matters, such as abortion.

  1. Hey Jameson!
I totally agree with you on the fact that it was amazing to see the first African American become President of the Unites States. I don’t want to give up on him yet, but I’m not very happy with the choices he has been making so far for our country. The fact that he is very pro- choice is disappointing. Speaking of pro- life issues, are you going to go on the March for Life next year ? I went when I was in eighth grade with my sister’s college group. It was one of the most amazing experiences for myself. It was so moving to see all the youth in our country brought together and fighting for life! I don’t know how anyone could pass up the opportunity to be a part of something so remarkable. Also Washington D.C has beautiful memorials and monuments to see and awe over. After I came back from the trip I had a greater appreciation for life and for our country.
